I believe a solid foundation is the key to success in any field. I feel a horse must be solidly doing all the basic manuevers to make the transition as smooth as possible. We can train a 2 year old completely from scratch or have a refresher course for a broke horse. Each horse is treated as an individual, and fortunately we have been extremely successful in adapting to their personal style. With success on horses that run to the left as well as to the right, I can easily take a horse whichever direction they desire. The goal is to have a horse that loves their job and fulfills their potential - whether he/she is a solid 3D weekend warrior or an untouchable Rodeo Horse!
We take any age of horse into training; from young horses to be campaigned in Futurity competition or developed into a youth, divisional, or rodeo horse. I have had wins on both cow and race bred prospects! All it takes is a heart to make a good horse.
As most people may know the horse market can be very difficult. When I sell a horse I typically spend a month or two prepping them which includes regular excercise and a good feeding program. I like to get to know the horses I am selling before I market them. This insures a good sale not only for the buyer but for the owner as well.
If not sold within 30 days cost will be $500/month
10% Commission on every sale
I do give private lessons. I try to put together a local Barrel Racing clinic once a year for beginners as well as intermediate riders. If interested you may contact me via email or phone.
About Me-
Kindell Whisenant
Before I could even walk my dad had me on a horse. When he had one that needed broke I was the one he would throw on while he led me around. Generations of training has been instilled in me. My father was raised riding broncs, roping and training horses in which his father did his whole life as well. Not a day goes by I dont learn something new. I was not allowed to run barrels until I knew every step it took to train a horse. My first barrel horse was Look at That Dude we bought him as a two year old from a man who raises halter horses. After years of just riding I started him on the barrels as a 6 year old. We won youth rodeos, jackpots, rodeos as well as Paint World in the youth division. I had little outside help, my father was my mentor. After we found out he needed to be retired we purchased a 3 year old filly bred to run. At 5 years old we entered the Gold Cup Futurity and had the 4th fastest time with over 300 professional riders and trainers. She has been sold and is currently being hauled to pro rodeos. I cant even begin to think of all the horses we have trained and sold but we always have repete customers. I always strive to make sure my clients are satisfied. I will go over and above to make sure that you get just what you expect as the owner.
